Another Day, Another Hurts Narrative Dies — and 94WIP Comes Apart at the Seams
The gap between reality and radio takes gets wider by the day.

The Chase continues. Spike Eskin spent a month on WIP insisting Jalen Hurts is some silent robot who never communicates with receivers — and Hard Knocks promptly exposed him as a clown. Episode 1 opened with two brutal weeks of Eagles misery, but buried in the chaos was Hurts doing exactly what Spike swore never happens: taking ownership on the sideline, talking through routes with DeVonta Smith, and showing real leadership.
Anyone actually paying attention already knew that, but Philly sports radio needs fake narratives to survive. Once again, Hurts isn’t the problem — the grifters yelling from the studio are who needed content, and Hard Knocks just exposed it for the nonsense it was.
Let’s get into it.

EAGLES MISS OUT ON SLAY: The Eagles tried to bring back Darius Slay after Pittsburgh cut him, but Buffalo beat them to the waiver claim. Slay wouldn’t have magically saved the season, but he likely would’ve been an upgrade over their current CB2 situation. Instead, Philly moves forward with Adoree Jackson and Kelee Ringo alongside Quinyon Mitchell — far from ideal, but it’s the reality. Read More Eagles Content Here
#LANESTEINFILES PHASE II: Lane Kiffin’s LSU era is off to a chaotic start, as fresh “Lanestein Files” expose him continuing to DM Ole Miss students, brag about mysterious “bags,” and even get roasted for being a disaster in hot yoga classes. The SEC BurnerVerse keeps dropping receipts — voice memos, screenshots, and gossip — painting Kiffin as the most bizarrely committed recruiter in college football, just not for recruits anyone expected. If more chapters surface, consider this the wildest college football saga of the decade. Read More Trending Content Here
PHILLIES OFFSEASON: Former Phillies “future franchise star” Scott Kingery has signed a minor-league deal with the Cubs, marking yet another stop in a career that once looked destined for stardom before COVID derailed his development. Now 31, Kingery profiles as depth — a versatile utility guy who can stand anywhere on the field and maybe recapture a spark, but most likely serve as emergency insurance. Phillies fans can only look back at Jetpax SZN, wonder what might have been, and acknowledge that signing that early extension may have been the smartest move he ever made.. THEY HATE THE PROCESS: The NBA fined the Sixers $100,000 for how they reported Joel Embiid’s injury status, accusing Philly of failing to “accurately disclose” his availability after he went from ruled out to playing 30 minutes that night. It feels less like legitimate oversight and more like Adam Silver’s office taking another swipe at a franchise they love policing, especially with Embiid still managing a real knee issue. The league gets its PR moment, the Sixers lose six figures, and everyone waits to see how Philly handles Embiid’s availability next. Read More Sixers Content Here
