BG COMES OUT RETIREMENT
Brandon Graham made it official Tuesday: he’s returning to the Philadelphia Eagles. After rumors swirled all week — and months after a source first told us this comeback was in motion — BG confirmed the news himself. We didn’t fully buy it back in September, but here we are.
The 36-year-old pass rusher may not be the same player he once was, but he’s still a beloved leader in the locker room and one of the defining figures of the Super Bowl era. Whether he’s got gas left in the tank remains to be seen, but one thing is certain — Brandon Graham is back in midnight green, and Philly is buzzing.
Embiid Returns as Sixers Prepare for Season Opener
Joel Embiid made his long-awaited return Friday night against the Timberwolves, and for the first time in a long time, the Sixers actually looked… fun. In just 19 minutes, Embiid dropped 14 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals while running a fast, movement-heavy offense that finally ditched the slow iso-ball we’ve all suffered through for years. Tyrese Maxey poured in 27, rookie VJ Edgecombe added 26, and Quentin Grimes chipped in 22 off the bench as Nick Nurse’s new system showed signs of life.
Embiid looked locked in and unselfish, praising the team’s youth, energy, and depth while making it clear he’s playing with a chip on his shoulder after being “disrespected” by national rankings. It’s only preseason, but if this is the new Joel Embiid—and the new Sixers—it might be time to believe again.
