There’s nothing I dislike more than the final week of the NBA season. From the always insufferable conversation about the NBA MVP Award, to pointless basketball games while teams are just trying to enter the playoffs as healthy as possible, the media and fans year after year fail to practice patience and the hot takes about players and teams are being posted all over the internet.

For fans of the Philadelphia 76ers, I guess it’s just nice to be a part of the conversation.

Joel Embiid did not play against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, causing quite the stir across all sports media platforms. However, for those who have suffered through freak injury after freak injury every time the NBA Playoffs roll around in Philly, making a run at the finals this season puts player health above everything else.

New Phillies Scoreboard Understands the Message

I just thought this was a funny photoshop edit and I’m extremely happy with myself for getting that to look somewhat decent on the new Phillies scoreboard. I would also like to suggest centering the Phillies logo (again) at the top of the scoreboard, but I’m sure there’s a good reason behind why the folks down at Citizens Bank Park decided to not to do that, right?

Losing Rhys Hoskins crushed my soul

If any of you are brave enough to follow me on Twitter, you know damn well how much I love Phillies’ first baseman Rhys Hoskins. After he was ruled out for the season with a self-inflicted injury in Spring Training, several Phillies players spoke on the importance of Hoskins in the clubhouse and how losing him both on and off the field would be quite the adjustment.

After three years of talking about it, The Liberty Line will finally debut Red October: A Phillies Podcast tomorrow morning for the start of Opening Day.
