The Knicks got their parade. New York turned it into a crime scene.
FRIDAY · JUNE 19, 2026No. 14
Thursday handed New York its first championship parade in a generation. It handed the rest of us ninety minutes of footage that cannot be unseen.
They forgot to grease the light poles, and from there New York did exactly what New York does. People climbed, people fell, and what happened on the pavement afterward is not getting transcribed in an email. We’ve eaten our share of questionable things at our own parades, so the glass house stays standing — but there’s regular feral, and then there’s whatever Thursday was. A generation of waiting, and the city spent its big day confirming every word we’ve ever said about it. Enjoy the banner, New York. We’ll hang onto the tape.

Rookie receiver Makai Lemon found one of the best Italian kitchens in the city, sat down, and ordered the “gi-no-chee.” Sirianni heard it and sprinted to Vic Fangio like a kid running to tell dad — that clip is following the rookie all the way to camp.
