DEAD OCTOBER

The Phillies’ season came to a brutal end in Game 4 of the NLDS, collapsing on a routine comebacker that Orion Kerkering bobbled and then air-mailed into chaos — a walk-off error that sealed one of the dumbest endings imaginable.

Despite strong pitching from Cristopher Sánchez and all-in moves from the bullpen, Philadelphia’s $927 million roster couldn’t deliver when it mattered most. The Dodgers didn’t even need a hit to eliminate them, advancing to the NLCS while the Phillies’ so-called “Golden Era” slammed shut. For a team built on star power and postseason swagger, it ended with a whimper — a cruel punctuation mark on a season that never lived up to its own hype.

GO BIRDS 🦅

The Eagles offense has officially hit rock bottom, and Lane Johnson finally said what everyone’s been thinking — Kevin Patullo’s play-calling is painfully predictable. After their worst loss of the season, the locker room looked defeated, and the stats paint an even uglier picture: dead last in nearly every major offensive category despite having Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert.

Patullo, a first-time coordinator who’s never been considered for the role anywhere else, looks completely in over his head, and it’s costing the Eagles dearly. Missed opportunities happen, but when an offense can’t scheme open receivers, sustain drives, or adjust in the second half, that’s on coaching. This isn’t a rebuild — it’s a championship roster being wasted by bad leadership.

Now, heading into a must-win matchup against Carson Wentz and the Vikings, the Eagles are staring down a potential collapse if something doesn’t change fast.
